Teaching, learning, and documenting Yurok
Edward Sapir, perhaps the greatest linguist of the 20th century, spent the summer of 1927 in Hoopa Valley. In addition to Hupa work, that summer he documented Yurok grammar and texts with
Mary Marshall.
